SUNG KAH KAY ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIP

A Faculty Chair has been established at NUS in memory of Prof. Kah Kay Sung  ––  I was his Ph.D. advisor at the MIT AI Lab and a close, personal friend.

The holder of the chair would benefit from everything that one of regular asst professors could get, plus the prestige of the chair and the opportunity to use the income from the endowment for his/her research or other scholarly activities.  NUS aims to recruit an outstanding young scholar for this position.

Conditions at NUS are very good in terms of compensation packages, including salaries (better than many US universities), housing and weather.  The academic atmosphere and the facilities are as good as the US standards; there is an English-speaking environment and a faculty trained in the US with close connections to the US and Europe.
