UROP Research Project Opening: The Aibo Project

AIM

We offer an exciting UROP position for the fall term 2004 to work with the computational vision group at CBCL. The project involves working with a newly developed object recognition system that emulates visual processing in primate cortex.

TECHNIQUE

-

The undergraduate researcher will conduct experimental testing of the system in two phases: 1) Generation of a face image database to extend the tests already performed and 2) Implementation of the system on the new Sony robot, the AIBO ERS-7.

PREREQUISITES

-

Must be an MIT undergraduate student. Experience in C/C++ programming required. Experience in computer vision is a plus.

REIMBURSEMENT

Hourly rate.
